Comedy of Errors

Comedy of Errors. Fascinating account of the special Mardi Gras episode of SNL 25 years ago (via Max).

Floyd Collins is finally available as a piano/vocal score. I can’t wait until my copy arrives so I can sequence some midi tracks.

Songs I Heard: Harry Connick, Jr.

Songs I Heard: Harry Connick, Jr.. Heard over the store speakers while shopping at BN during the conference, I quickly beat a fast retreat to Best Buy to buy it $4 cheaper.

Great jazz versions of songs from Mary Poppins, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, The Wizard of Oz, etc — especially the cover of Oompa Loompa.

Driving back from my conference, we stopped for lunch in Pella, Iowa (home to Pella Windows and known for its Dutch heritage). Since it’s winter, there weren’t any tulips around, but we did see snow-covered windmills.

The Connect-O-Cord (cartoon from the Jan 14 New Yorker). “Now you can hook up the toaster, the air-conditioner, your dad’s computer, the microwave, and a foot massager. Why? Because it’s COOL!”

This is SO me. All my friends make fun of my X10 / TiVo-enabled apartment.
