And my friends think I’m obsessed about TiVo… Nine-year-old TiVo subscriber Dallin D., from Salem, OR scored the coveted “Most Creative” marks when he debuted an inspired masterpiece at his cub scout’s annual Pinewood Derby this February: his soap car was crafted in the shape of our award-winning TiVo peanut remote. Danger HipTop

Danger HipTop. “I have a technology boner that could cut glass” — Cory of boingboing.net.

Me too. The HipTop is exactly the cell phone / PDA combination unit I’ve been looking for to replace my aging Palm IIIe. The way the screen slides out to reveal the mini keyboard is incredibly sexy. All the reports say that it will be coming out sometime Spring 2002, and I’m crossing my fingers that the wireless service will extend to Kirksville.

How cool would it be to have wireless web access so I could schedule shows on my TiVo and turn my x10-controlled lights on and off from the other side of campus?

Church v. Google

Church v. Google. “How the Church of Scientology is forcing Google to censor its critics.” An informative write-up about the recent removal and reinstatement from Google’s search engine of xenu.net, a website critical of the Church of Scientology.

I’ve read a number of articles about Scientology over the past couple of years and the more I read the more I wonder how anyone could ever buy into it.
