Damn! Who knew the guy

Damn! Who knew the guy from Blue’s Clues was so hot? And he’s recording an album with the Flaming Lips.

Will Web services be the savior of the computing industry? A good article outlining misperceptions about Web Services and how they may end up being useful. Web Services are what may actually get me to learn XML from scratch, rather than just simply adapting examples.

What have I been keeping myself busy with? Getting permission to buy, locating, and transporting a 1200 pound piece of limestone to place behind my dorm for use as a spirit rock (am I a cool hall director or what?).

As soon as we get the rock set up in the right position, we’ll break out the paint brushes.

The Severe Beating of a College Hall Director (mp3). A fan recording circulating the P2P networks, modeled after Adam Sandler’s Severe Beatings schtick.

It’s funny, but it reminds me of the time I was “assaulted” last year during a documentation. Thanks to Adair County not having a full time prosecutor (corrected by our recent vote), it never went to court…

Don’t you love it when elementary schools commit flagrant copyright violations and stage musicals or adaptations of movies without permission? And then post it on the web for all to see?

College drinking factors in 1,400 deaths yearly. The newly released study also found an average of 500,000 injuries and 70,000 cases of sexual assault or date rape annually connected to college alcohol use.

My views about college drinking have changed drastically from my undergraduate fraternity days. As a hall director, I’ve had to make far too many ambulance calls (and had to deal with far too many unruly and rude assholes).

FrogGuts.com

FrogGuts.com. Virtual frog dissection. A great way to get out of having to actually touch those slimy things (via boingboing).
