Email from another Matt Kingston:

“dear matt, you are a fag. change your name because you make me look like a fag. I don’t think those guys are swell, I don’t think they’re swell at all. change your name or I will kill you. you fag.”

No other Matt Kingston stands a chance of claiming as many top Google hits as me.

Rampage

Rampage. After talking to a new resident about the upcoming Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee for GameCube, I learned that one of my all-time favorite, time-wasting computer games is now available through shockwave.com.

And speaking of the GameCube, I’m eagerly awaiting the release of Mario Sunshine on the 26th. I played a demo version at Walmart, and it’s going to rock. It’s exactly the type of game that I bought the GameCube for…

I think Bill of brilliantcorners.org may be the first person to have used my Homebrew TrackBack Tutorial to build a working TB system (if not, I’m fulfilling his request to have someone ping him anyway).

Todd Time at Target

Todd Time at Target. “Leave it to Oldham to take a classic gay fantasy, the dorm room, and make it perfectly palpable for mass American tastes.”

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw all the crap Target was peddling under the Todd Oldham Dorm Room label. Most of it is simply repurposed plastic hangers and plates in neon colors. But now that I’ve seen it in over half the rooms of my dorm, I have to admit it’s pretty stylish.

Matt as Mastermind

Matt as Mastermind. As part of our hall director training, I took the official, long-form MBTI test and was shocked to discover that I am not in fact an ISTJ (as I presumed two years ago after taking a short, unoffical online version), but am an INTJ

In 2 years of thinking I was an ISTJ, I’ve felt like I’ve been trying to make up for some perceived deficiencies because I wasn’t a “natural student affairs-type person.” I didn’t like the description of my suposed personality type and never quite felt like it fit me (or rather, didn’t want for it to fit me).

As an INTJ, I’m still not the archetypal person that goes into this line of work, but I trust and feel more secure and comfortable and even proud of the way that my personality is described.

I’m going to have to get Ptypes to changes me on their list of personality-type sorted weblogs…

Training Check-In.

I’m busy, busy, busy with Res Life training. Every year I compain and grouse about the lack of sleep, but I wouldn’t trade this fun, wonderful staff building time for anything.

And I’m in a much better mood now that I’ve found my keys, which were missing for 3 days. I’d been trying to resign myself to taking out a million dollar loan to pay for the campus to be rekeyed, but happily that will now be avoided.

It’s funny what went through my head when I thought I might not have an entertainment budget for the next 50 years… even though of late I’ve not kept up with all the new cast album releases, I was sad that I’d have to stop adding to my collection of musicals.
