I’ve returned from my annual Res Life conference recharged and brimming with new job-related ideas and plans. More importantly, after going to a few sessions about job searches and career goals, I’m now even more enthusiastic and dedicated to the idea of trying to find a job in New York City (or Boston). So much to do: revise my resume, start writing cover letters, develop a real professional electronic portfolio…
St. Paul was a lot of fun. Had some great pasta at Cossetta’s (I walked about 7 blocks downtown by myself to get there, trying to pretend that I was in New York instead of Minnesota). Had a delicious portabella mushroom sandwich at the embarrassingly tacky Rainforest Cafe. But best of all, I met for drinks with my old grad school friends Chad & Susan (though sadly there was no spotting of Library Man).
