Comments working again

Jeff alerted me earlier today that he couldn’t post any comments on my blog.

I don’t know what the culprit was, but upgrading to the latest nightly build of WordPress seems to have done the trick.

Rain on my parade

I’m pretty broken up about the Yankees choking on their shot at the World Series, but not because I care anything about baseball.

Jeff recently figured out that that the names and dates inscribed on the sidewalks of Broadway near my apartment signify all the ticker tape parades that have taken place there. The last one, in 2000, celebrated the Yankees win in the World Series that year.

Basically I wanted a parade with confetti, and now I’m not going to get one. Maybe we can arrange a V-I parade when our soldiers return from Iraq after Kerry wins the election?
