The Gates
Jeff and I visited The Gates, the long-awaited installation by artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude, yesterday afternoon. I imagine Central Park in February is not usually so crowded.
I couldn’t really get into it. Sure, it was neat seeing an endless row of orange frames with shower curtains blowing in the wind. I guess I’m a little too cynical to consider it “art.” Jeff, typically, was more impressed.

Redesign
I wanted to test out the new Theme capabilities of WordPress 1.5, so I adapted the Benevolence Theme by Theron Parlin for use on my weblog. I know this redesign still has some problems on the Mac (which I can see now thanks to my Mac Mini), so I’ll be continuing to work on it over the next few days.

A humorous article from The Morning News that sounds a little too much like actual conversations I’ve had with non-TiVo users.

But yesterday while waiting for the 4 train, I saw two deaf Korean men signing what appeared to be a heated argument. I wondered: were they using ASL or KSL?

Addicted
I’ve really cut down on my caffeine intake over the past two years, but it’s been slipping lately after I started substituting a Pepsi Lemon for breakfast.
Yesterday I managed to drain two 20 oz Pepsi’s before 3pm, so I decided not to drink any pop today. I was consequently worthless and listless all day. I finally broke down at 6:30pm and poured myself a tall glass of Pepsi.
