D’oh! I finally decided I wanted to get the iPhone instead of the iPod Touch (thanks to the new SIM card unlocking program); but when I logged onto my Apple account, it says my order is preparing for shipping and can’t be canceled. According to the gadget blogs, some people received their iPod Touches (iPods Touch?) today. I’m sure I’ll be able to return it — I just hope I don’t have to pay a restocking fee. I want the iPhone instead, so I can have Bluetooth and the camera. What I’d love is to be able to use a reverse Bluetooth DUN connection from my Treo…

And, I finally got a passcode to order a Chumby, which I promptly did (I’ve wanted one since they were announced). Heh, I haven’t bought any useless gadgets in a while… I’m overdue
Update: I think I managed to get Apple to cancel my iPod Touch shipment — I’ll know in 24 hours and then can go down to the Apple Store and pick up the iPhone instead. And, I just ordered this cheap USB pedometer. I have gadget fever!

Yes, this is the iPod I’ve been waiting for: the ipod Touch. Basically, it’s the iPhone without the phone — but it does have WiFi and the Safari browser built in.

Basically, I’ve been wanting some kind of internet table to keep by the couch so I can look stuff up on imdb.com while watching TV without having to go to my computer. Added to the fact I’ve been wanting to replace my aging iPod, it’s a no brainer.

But why don’t I get an iPhone instead? AT&T’s data plan sucks, I prefer the Treo, and I have a super sweet/cheap Sprint voice+data plan I bullied my way into getting that I don’t want to lose.
